Perth and Kinross Heritage Trust, in partnership with Dunkeld and Birnam Historical Society and AOC Archaeology Ltd will be carrying out the third and final season of community excavations on King’s Seat hillfort by Dunkeld as part of this project. Come along and enjoy spectacular views, watch as amazing discoveries are unearthed and learn more about Dunkeld’s early historic hilltop residents. Site tours available between 11:00 and 15:00 most excavation days.

This year we are celebrating 35 years of the Doors Open Days festival with a special arts and entertainment theme. Places, spaces and studios are opening their doors and showcasing creative connections to architecture as part of the programme. Perth and Kinross Doors Open Days is working in partnership with Perthshire Open Studios to bring a week-long double festival of free access to view artistic venues, artists’ studios and their work. Follow the art and entertainment theme across Doors Open Days and Perthshire Open Studios as the region comes alive with art and architecture.
