Through the Trust, you can get involved in a wide range of archaeology and historic buildings projects, from excavations in the hills, to recording medieval chapels in the Carse of Gowrie.
As a volunteer you will learn new skills, meet new people and visit incredible sites in the area that you may not even know exist…you’ll also help to conserve the past for the future!
You don’t have to be super fit either, as we have tasks to suit all…perhaps researching local sites in the records office or online.
"The Glenshee Project has been a fantastic opportunity for local people to join an exciting excavation, to learn a great deal about archaeology, to uncover the past about them and meet some wonderful and interesting people."
Diana MacIntyre, Volunteer from Ladybank, Fife
Volunteering opportunities with PKHT are available through our projects. Right now it is the King's Seat Hillfort Archaeology Project which is offering exciting opportunities to actively get involved with the historic environment.

We're always on the look out for skilled professionals to help us conserve, promote and enhance the
