Perth City Heritage Fund Supported Commemorative Plaque Unveiled

The Trust have been pleased to help the Black Watch Association commemorate the former site of the Queen’s Barracks with a small grant from the Perth City Heritage Fund.  The memorial was unveiled in June by Mrs Georgiana Osborne, President of The Black Watch Association and Brigadier Mel Jameson, Lord Lieutenant of Perth and Kinross. Information about the historic barracks, with fascinating photos of the substantial buildings and regiment, can be seen on the information panel sited at the north end of Caledonian Road opposite Perth Police Station.
