This can be a one-off sum or regular gift of a few pounds per month/year. You can donate through PayPal using the button below. We’d also encourage you to consider adding gift aid to your donation which enables us to claim back the tax at no extra cost, making your giving go further (eg. For every £1 donated we will be able to get an extra 25p from the government, giving a total donation of £1.25).
Volunteering with PKHT is available through our current projects and as these are always changing and new ones developing there can be a wide range of archaeology and historic buildings opportunities to get involved in, from excavations in the hills, to recording medieval chapels in the Carse of Gowrie. We also have our longer term ongoing projects such as the Perth City Heritage Fund, Lower City Mills and work on our Historic Environment Record to consider.
As a volunteer you can learn new skills, meet new people and visit incredible sites in the area that you may not even know exist…you’ll also help to conserve the past for the future!
You don’t have to be super fit either, as there can be tasks to suit all abilities…perhaps researching local sites in the office or online?
We’d also be interested to hear from you if you think you have skills that could support the Trust’s governance as an advisor or through a term of office as a member of the Board of Trustees.
If you’d like to express your interest in volunteering your time or would like to be notified about future opportunities as they come up then please contact us.
“The Glenshee Project has been a fantastic opportunity for local people to join an exciting excavation, to learn a great deal about archaeology, to uncover the past about them and meet some wonderful and interesting people.”
Diana MacIntyre, Volunteer from Ladybank, Fife
A gift to charity in your will is an ideal way to support the work of a local organisation that you care about. Charitable legacies are paid before tax is deducted, reducing the total amount of inheritance tax due from your estate.
All of our projects have social and educational benefit and are ideally suited to sponsorship by individuals or organisations who want to ‘give something back’.
